Door Ding Repair in Jacksonville, FL
A door ding is one of the most common parking-lot injuries a car can get. When the paint is intact, paintless dent repair usually removes the ding without repainting the panel.
Why door dings happen
Shopping centers, apartment lots and street parking put doors within inches of each other. A distracted exit, a gust of wind or a child stepping out is enough to dent a door, yours or the one next to you.
Most door dings are small, shallow and located on the door skin or the edge of a fender. That is exactly the kind of damage paintless dent repair is built for.
How a door ding is repaired with PDR
We start by looking at the size, depth and location of the ding, and whether the paint is intact. From there, access is found behind the panel (through a window channel, an interior trim opening or an existing service hole) and specialized tools are used to work the metal back to its original shape under focused lighting.
The panel is checked from several angles as the work progresses so the repair blends into the surrounding surface.
What to send us for an estimate
Text two photos: one straight-on shot of the ding and one taken from a slight angle a few feet away. Add your vehicle year, make and model, and your ZIP code, so we can confirm the service area.

Common questions
Can every door ding be removed with PDR?
No. Dings with intact paint and shallow-to-moderate depth are usually good candidates. If the paint is cracked or the metal is badly stretched, conventional repair may be needed, and we will tell you after reviewing your photos.
Will the repair require repainting?
Paintless dent repair is designed to keep the original factory paint. No filler, sanding or paint is used on a qualifying ding.
Is the quote free?
Yes. Photo estimates are always free and there is no obligation. If the damage cannot be repaired using PDR, we will explain the available options.
Got a dent?
Send two photos and we'll let you know if PDR is right for your vehicle. Estimates are free.
